Public PDF Library Launch and Dark Theme Support

We're excited to announce two major updates: our new public library of high-quality PDFs available for free, and comprehensive dark theme support across the platform.

Historical announcement: Public Library was retired on June 17, 2025. The library features below describe the original launch, not the current product. This notice does not apply to dark theme support.

Public PDF Library

We're thrilled to introduce our public library of high-quality PDFs, completely free for all users:

  • Access to thousands of carefully curated academic papers, research documents, and educational resources
  • High-quality scans with optimized readability and searchability
  • Organized by categories including science, technology, humanities, and more
  • No account required to access the public library collection
  • Seamless integration with your existing workspace for premium users

This initiative aligns with our mission to make knowledge more accessible to everyone. The public library will continue to grow as we add new content regularly.

Dark Theme Configuration

In response to popular demand, we've implemented comprehensive dark theme support:

  • Toggle between light and dark themes directly from the navbar menu
  • Automatic theme switching based on your system preferences
  • Optimized color palette for reduced eye strain during night-time reading
  • Consistent dark theme implementation across all pages and components
  • Persistent theme preference saved to your account settings

The dark theme has been carefully designed to maintain readability while significantly reducing eye strain during extended reading sessions. All PDF rendering, annotations, and highlighting features work seamlessly in both light and dark modes.

Additional Improvements

  • Improved PDF rendering performance for large documents
  • Enhanced search functionality with better keyword highlighting
  • Fixed several UI inconsistencies across different screen sizes
  • Reduced memory usage for better performance on lower-end devices
  • Updated dependencies for improved security and stability
